IN PERSON WORKSHOP - Herringbone Stitch
An in depth immersion workshop giving students the expertise in using the Herringbone Stitch which allows for fast, large scale filling of any shape and results in beautifully textured work. Students will be able to solid fill leaves, petals and stems quickly and create textured, bold and colourful pieces that make an impact. Kasia also teaches stitches which are complementary to and enhance the Herringbone Stitch. This Masterclass is best for students who have done some embroidery before.
Book in for either:
Saturday 15th March - 10am - 4pm
or
Wednesday 19th March - 10am - 4pm
Materials included in workshop fee:
6 Inch embroidery hoop
Panel of high grade linen
2 embroidery needles
6 skeins of DMC stranded cotton
pattern
instructions ( to continue with at home)
General information:
The two day course will be held in my home in Gladesville, Sydney.
I will be providing morning and afternoon tea with a selection of herbal teas, black tea, coffee (with regular or oat milk), mixed cakes and filtered water. Please bring your own lunch and note that we do not have a microwave.
As I only accept a maximum of six students there will be plenty of time for everyone to receive my tuition. We have a lovely verandah to relax on during breaks and as we live next to a national park the space is peaceful and quiet.
There is street parking available, you may have to walk up a little if there are lots of cars but no more than 1-2 minutes.
My house is on a slight incline and has about ten steps to the front door. Please bear this in mind if you have difficulty walking.
