IN PERSON WORKSHOP - Easter Egg Painting
Paint beautiful Easter eggs easily even if you're a complete novice.
I show you the exact steps and tricks to make the process super easy.
Once a year I return to one of my favourite crafts, Easter egg painting. I have practiced this since watching my grandfather in Poland paint eggs with wax and then dye them with onion skins. I’ve painted Easter eggs for decades and now love to share this beautiful Easter tradition with you.
This workshop is ideal for complete beginners and especially if you're looking for something quiet and meaningful to do this Easter.
I have specific methods which I teach and you will be able to pass those onto your friends and family at home at Easter and enjoy a meaningful activity together.
I also share Polish Easter traditions and show you how to display your eggs at Easter.
You can book into either:
Saturday 12th April - 10am - 4pm
or
Monday 14th April - 10am - 4pm
You will learn how to:
Blow out an egg the RIGHT way which is easy and quick. There are two mistakes people almost always make which makes blowing out an egg difficult and frustrating.
Create specific grids on your egg surface which makes the actual drawing of the design SUPER easy.
Hold the egg and your pen so you actually get smooth line work.
Create a myriad of different designs off a few simple grids. You'll keep painting one egg after another and no two will be the same.
Amaze your friends and family not just with your skills but also with beautiful gifts and possibly a new tradition after you read about what we do with Easter eggs in our home.
You will be supplied with:
Six blown out chicken egg shells.
One Posca marker to take home and multiple colours to use during the workshop.
Printed instructions and patterns to continue painting at home.
A decorative gift box to display or gift your favourite egg.
General information:
The workshop will be held in my home in Gladesville, Sydney.
I will be providing morning and afternoon tea with a selection of herbal teas, black tea, coffee (with regular or oat milk), mixed cakes and filtered water. Please bring your own lunch and note that we do not have a microwave.
As I only accept a maximum of six students there will be plenty of time for everyone to receive my tuition. We have a lovely verandah to relax on during breaks and as we live next to a national park the space is peaceful and quiet.
There is street parking available, you may have to walk up a little if there are lots of cars but no more than 1-2 minutes.
My house is on a slight incline and has about ten steps to the front door. Please bear this in mind if you have difficulty walking.
