IN PERSON WORKSHOP - Beginners Embroidery

$229.00

A wonderfully immersive experience, perfect for absolute beginners and those wanting to learn my unique style of embroidery. Eight different stitches are covered which are all you need to create any of my patterns and more.

A big focus is on letting go of perfection and learning to stitch in a relaxed manner to create bold results without fuss or complexity. Students will follow a pattern and selected colours.

The stitches students learn incorporate solid and semi-solid fills, outlines, a variety of leaves and isolated stitches as embellishments.

Book in for either:

Saturday 22nd February - 10am - 4pm

or

Wednesday 26th February - 10am - 4pm

Materials included in workshop fee:

  • 6 Inch embroidery hoop

  • Panel of high grade linen

  • 6 embroidery needles

  • 6 skeins of DMC stranded cotton

  • embroidery pattern

  • instructions ( to continue with at home)

More information will be emailed to students one week before the course.

General information:

The two day course will be held in my home in Gladesville, Sydney.

I will be providing morning and afternoon tea with a selection of herbal teas, black tea, coffee (with regular or oat milk), mixed cakes and filtered water. Please bring your own lunch and note that we do not have a microwave.

As I only accept a maximum of six students there will be plenty of time for everyone to receive my tuition. We have a lovely verandah to relax on during breaks and as we live next to a national park the space is peaceful and quiet.

There is street parking available, you may have to walk up a little if there are lots of cars but no more than 1-2 minutes.

My house is on a slight incline and has about ten steps to the front door. Please bear this in mind if you have difficulty walking.
